Description:
This set celebrates the main attributes of Ukrainian statehood – the coat-of-arms, flag, and anthem – integral components of the nation’s identity, deeply rooted in the culture, history, and mentality of the Ukrainian people. The trident – the emblem used by Kyiv Rus Prince Volodymyr the Great – embodies historical continuity, spiritual unity, and the Ukrainian people’s aspiration for freedom and self-determination. The flag, combining blue and yellow, symbolizes prosperity, natural wealth, and the flourishing of Ukraine. These are the colors of the clear sky and the wheat field, which were officially approved on the flag of the Ukrainian People’s Republic. Over a century and a half, the patriotic song “Ukraine has not yet perished” has become a powerful symbol of the struggle for independence, inspiring Ukrainians to unity and strengthening a sense of national pride.
Obverse of Ukraine’s Coat of Arms coin: above are Ukraine’s small state coat-of-arms, a golden trident on a blue shield (decorated with enamel and local gilding). Against a backdrop of sunrays is a stylized emblem used by Kyiv Rus Prince Volodymyr the Great, an image that repeats the structure of the trident. To the left are the following legends: 2025 / УКРАЇНА / 10 ? / НАШ / ГЕРБ (2025 / Ukraine / 10 / our / coat-or-arms).
Obverse of Ukraine’s Flag coin: above is Ukraine’s small state coat-of-arms. Against a backdrop of sunrays is a blue and yellow (color printed) stylized flag, waving in the wind. The legends are: to the left: 2025 / УКРАЇНА / 10 ? / НАШ / СТЯГ (2025 / Ukraine / 10 / our / flag). Beneath are the lines from the poem “The Flag”: СИНІЙ, ЯК МОРЕ, ЯК ДЕНЬ, ЗОЛОТИЙ – / З НЕБА І СОНЦЯ НАШ ПРАПОР ЯСНИЙ. / ОЛЕКСАНДР ОЛЕСЬ (as blue as the sea, as gold as daylight – /from sky and sunlight our flag is bright /Oleksandr Oles).
Obverse of Ukraine’s Anthem coin: against the backdrop of a guelder rose branch with red berries (decorated with enamel) are Ukraine’s small state coat-of-arms and a music sheet against a backdrop of sunrays. To the left are the legends: 2025 / УКРАЇНА / 10 / НАШ / ГІМН (2025 / Ukraine / 10 ? / our / anthem).
Reverse of Ukraine’s Coat-of-Arms coin: framed by sunrays, against a smooth background, is a composition of tridents that symbolizes Ukrainian historical heritage – from the emblem’s origins, Sviatoslav the Brave’s two-pronged symbol and the signs on silver and gold coins, through the signs of the 1917–1921 Ukrainian Revolution, to the modern state symbol (depicted as a latent image). Above is Ukraine’s small coat-of-arms (decorated with local gilding). To the left is the legend: НАШЕ / КОРІННЯ (our roots).
Reverse of Ukraine’s Flag coin: there is a relief image of a stylized bird, which is adorned with ornaments and framed by sunrays (decorated with local gilding). The bird holds a cluster of guelder roses and symbolizes the Ukrainian soul in its aspiration for freedom and independence. Beneath is the legends: НАША / ДУША (our soul).
Reverse of Ukraine’s Anthem coin: framed by sunrays, is Cossack Mamai (decorated with local gilding) under an oak tree. The Cossack symbolizes a free person, a protector, a warrior, a traveler, and a skilled horseman – embodying the Ukrainian mentality and serving as a symbol of Ukraine’s eternal protector, updated with modern realities: instead of a saber, modern weapons hang on the oak tree. In a semicircle above the Cossack, are the following lines from the anthem, which are still relevant today: ДУШУ Й ТІЛО МИ ПОЛОЖИМ ЗА НАШУ СВОБОДУ / І ПОКАЖЕМ, ЩО МИ, БРАТТЯ, КОЗАЦЬКОГО РОДУ (Soul and body shall we lay down for our freedom/ and show that we are brethren of the Cossack nation). To the right of the Cossack is the legend НАШЕ / ГАСЛО (our slogan).
